Various protective restrictions are being lifted as we learn how to cope better with the current pandemic, but many of us still cannot go out for being part of the high risk population. Here are some tips to keep your dog happy and healthy at home.
Exercise, Exercise and more Exercise
Even though you cannot walk your dog like good old days, there are various outlets to channel their energy such as exercise. Make a schedule for yourself and your dog to exercise at the same time to maintain a daily schedule. This will not only maintain both of your health but will also give quality time we all crave.
Maintain a daily routine
Even though your daily routine is altered, it is very important to make sure your dog’s isn’t as a change in routine impacts the mental and physical health of your pet. Keep doing the same routines and following the same rules.
Try new things
Mental stimulation is very important for your dog’s mental and emotional health. Since your dog cannot experience the outdoors, there are many ways to make up for brain exercise through puzzles, new toys, and new tricks.
Keep a healthy diet
With spending more time at home, it is very easy to slip into the cycle of binge eating unhealthy snacks, but make sure your dog’s diet stays the same. It is ok to reward them, but moderately. Our Bully stick can make a good sack and we are making sure to maintain a constant supply in stores so your pet can have their favorite snack in quarantine.
